Generac Standby Power, Backed by Abel Electric
Abel Generators is the standby-power division of Abel Electric Inc & Groups, an authorized Generac dealer serving homes and businesses across Alabama and Georgia.
Our Story
Abel started about twenty years ago as a three-person crew working out of a garage. Over time it grew into Abel Electric Inc & Groups, a company of more than 180 employees spanning electrical, construction, civil, and more. Our generator division has become one of the largest parts of the business, and it is the focus of everything you will find here: Generac standby generators, installed and cared for by people who do this every day.
What We Do
We install Generac standby generators for homes and businesses, and we keep them running for the long haul:
- Residential and commercial installation - proper sizing, load planning, permits, and code-compliant work. See residential installation or commercial installation.
- Maintenance and 24/7 monitoring - annual service plans starting at $375/yr, with around-the-clock cellular monitoring on every plan. See maintenance and service.
- Service for any brand - we install Generac, but we will service generators of all makes, including units installed by someone else.

Faith, Family, and Community
Abel has never been only about generators. The same family that built this company also founded Abel Ministries, a year-round, twelve-month program that has helped rescue more than 2,000 young men from drug and alcohol addiction. Many of our divisions exist because we built them around the skills and second chances of the people who came through that program.
Those faith-based values shape how we treat customers and employees alike: with honesty, care, and a genuine desire to do right by people. When you call Abel, you are working with a company that measures success by more than the bottom line.
